At the time of our visit, there's a small museum/office with a few displays and old pictures, as well as a tiny souvenir shop. Then it's a short walk onto the level trail that had plenty to see on both sides. We were lucky to...More

Take the time to walk the trail and quietly view many types of birds and monkeys. The flora is also lovely and the trail is clean and maintained.

The best place near Paramaribo to watch birds, but watch the mosquitos! It is worth spending some mornings here to watch all the specialties.

A short ride from the city; a nice spot for a pleasant walk on the site of a former plantation. Plenty of birds, plenty of lizards and frogs and (on good days) you will see monkeys too
