Nice place to run, walk or do some kinda phisical activities with the Prata River as background! Also cool to spend bit of time walking around among local families drinking their terere(local drink made from a herb).

It is nice to walk on the Costanera, especially in the summer when the heat is tempered by a nice breeze from the river.

This walkway is very well done although I wish they made some more shaded seating areas (there are a few but not enough).

Choose a cool, or at least an overcast day. Take the young ones for an hour or two and rent some wheels. The view of the Paraguay River is nice and it's one of the cleanest areas of downtown Asuncion. Family friendly, couple friendly and photographer friendly.

It is a beautiful place to go to. On the weekends it is flooded with people, everyone walking around, having a good time. Try to avoid it when the sun is too hot, there is nowhere to hide from it, also DO NOT go at night, it is very dangerous.

We thoroughly enjoyed hanging out here. We walked a lot and enjoyed the scenery. Good food along the way too.

It was interesting to see such a long sandy beach on the bay of Paraguay river and nicely maintained adjacent parklands. Too bad is was spoiled by being polluted with the sewage of the city being dumped in it

I had heard about the Costanera so I had a taxi driver take me there. Maybe it was the time of day, or something else, but I didn't see what all the hype was about. To be fair, I am not sure it was designed for tourists. I can easily imagine that if I was a local, it would be... More

Asuncion and "asuncioers" have been waiting for the Costanera for more than 25 years, hence it has been a long wait. Please try to go there to stroll, and if with a "terere", much better.

It is a wonderful place to visit at the end of the day where the sunset is full of colours and energy!
