This museum is another 'museum disaster' thanks to its administration under the heavy, but useless, hand of the Ministry of Culture. In my comments left in the visitors' book I suggested that the Ministry privatize the museum... The first two rooms are excellent in acquainting and informing the visitor about the 'appropriation' of certain saints in the religious mythology of... More

I enjoyed the museum. Some of the guards were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the subjects. Some amazing old paintings of saints, some of them not looking at all saintlike. A room with old art supplies, the rocks and powders they used to make their paints. I spent a few hours happily wandering around this museum.

Its a wonderful museum, with history everywhere you look. Paintings, dresses, and old furniture makes the perfect ambiance to walk thru the history of the colonization of Colombia. Worth visiting!
