As some one that spent two years in bogota this is one of the hidden places that really shows bogota other face. The place is authentic and such a bit rough. Only open on Sunday but the walks in it really reveals hidden antiques in relatively nice prices and the people are still authentic. Really recommend spending few hours there.... More

I use to go once in a while to Mercado de las Pulgas (Downtown flea market). It works on sundays and festive days. You May find anything interesting for your house or a souvenir to take back from your Visit. As it only works on sundays it is worthy to walk around and go walking until Bolivar square. It is... Truly an old-fashioned flea market. There's everything from old telephones, radios, and electronic equipment to books and clothes and even plumbing supplies and tools. Lots of fun to walk through. I was advised to go to the Usaquen Mercado de Pulgas, by our local colleagues due to safety, which was a fine market, but when I want to go to a "Flea Market" I'm looking for what this Market offers: cultural, bohemian, antique or old stuff that you essentially have to pick through to find the gems. I got to... More

I went with a friend and it was very nice. There are a lot of antiques and weird and old stuffs. I think this place is a must go in Bogota. The only thing i didn't like is that there were a bunch of people (but that is how a flea market is)

This flea market is the largest and best-known in Bogotá's city center. It's located right on Carrera Septima - the main avenue - and it functions only on Sundays. Sundays are a good day, too, because 7th Avenue is shut to cars from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., so you can walk, bike or skate there. (We rented bikes from... More
