Nice for a stroll

Nice park with lots of different trees, plants and water. Maintenance work going on, so currently a little less attractive. Entrance fee is around $1 per person.

The Botanic Garden of Bogota, unfortunately situated quite a bit outside the City Center, is 100% worth the effort getting there. We very much enjoyed a relaxed stroll through the park for about two hours. The Garden is well landscaped, offers some ecosystems of Colombia (like a cloud forest) in miniature form, has some nice ponds and lakes, hilly parts... More

This botanic garden is very organized and with enough information to know about trees, flowers etc. There is a small lake and a bridge to cross it. A way to climb to a observatory to see the trees from the top is interesting.

The Jardin Botánico de Bogota is a very nice place to take a walk and know the vegetation from Colombia. Very interesting place to visit.

We visited on a day when there was an exhibition of Bonsais. There were some stunning really old trees among them. We wandered around the various areas and spent some time in the herb garden and contemplative room. We really enjoyed the cactus gardens and the little hidden pathways. The roses must be gorgeous when in season but there were... More

There are several beautiful gardens throughout with placards sharing facts and history. There's even a restaurant on site serving food if you get hungry. There's also wifi. Great photo ops througout.

You really have to see this place if you're around Bogota! The place it's huge and full of any kind of trees and flowers. They recreate different areas of Colombian vegetation. There is even a Humedal (You'll find what that is when you go there)! They have free guided tours in Spanish every hour and there is one in English... More

Been to a lot of botanical gardens and this is one of the best. One reviewer said "small site" and "scattered plantings" well this person must have had his or her eyes closed. I refer you to my pictures. Education is front and center with many daily presentations, excellent signage and helpful staff everywhere. And as far as the on... More

Wish the weather was better during my time here - cold and rainy as it were. Worth a visit for those interested in learning about tropical plants and flowers.
