Fun!

I highly recommend Biking with the locals. It is a great way to get to know the city and learn more of what it is like to live in Bogota.

It is a great space that the city offers every Sunday and Holidays from 7am to 2pm. Some of the main roads become exclusive for pedestrians and bike riders. Excellent for walking, riding a bike or skating on a sunny day. There are spots where you can drink orange or tangerine natural juice. It is a great plan on a... More

What a great way to see Bogota! Some of the route goes through some light industrial areas, but that's part of Bogota too. Stop for a freshly squeezed OJ for about 80 cents US, in fact there are OJ stands all along the route. We went on a cloudy day and thought we wouldn't need sunscreen...wrong!! We cycled for about... Ride a bike through most of Bogota on a Sunday. This city needs a traffic overhaul and bikes would be the perfect form of transport for a lot of trips as the city is mostly flat. Congrats for this great idea.

We enjoyed our cycle trip in Bogota on a Ciclovia sunday, which means lots of streets are car free during the morning. A nice way to get to know some neighbourhoods, within lots of Bogota residents on bikes and rollerskates.

The city prides itself on its ciclovia. It is so easy to get anywhere using it. I wish more countries were like this. The traffic in Bogota is very heavy and hard to get around at times . This is the best alternative.

Sundays and public holidays this huge metropolis that during the week is filled with very chaotic traffic, turns into a really well-made bike path. Excellent initiative which people seem to enjoy and a very good example to follow for many European cities!

This is one of Bogota's fingerprints. It is a social laboratory where you see a bit of all social layers doing some exercise all over the city. It has existed for almost 40 years, and it is all about major streets and avenues destinated on Sundays from, 6:00am thru 2:00pm, only so people are able to go out and: run,... More

Bogota has a very large network of separated bike paths throughout the city. On weekends the routes are expanded when some streets become car free. The city seems to be host a very large number of cyclists who travel long distances even in the hilly terrain. I did not see bike rental stations as in Paris or Montreal.
