It was nice to sit in the square and take in the architectural designs of the Spanish Colonial buildings surrounding the area. The Palacio, stood out because of the interesting clock at the top with its numbers reversed, the columns and all the windows. The...More

Right on Plaza Murillo, this is another interesting building with an impressive facade, but it can't be visited. The building is guarded by soldiers in traditional uniforms, carrying ancient weapons, as well as by modern military police. They are happy to stand for photos.

The National Congress of Bolivia is right next to Plaza Murillo, in the Centre of La Paz. I am not sure whether this symbol of democracy is open to the public so this time had to settle for a good look from the adjacent Square....More

Beautiful square, the architecture is gorgeous. You get views of the surrounding mountainside. Great place to sit and take in the city around you.

Next to the presidential palace on the southwest site of the Plaza Murillo it's obvious that the Bolivian powers are concentrated here. Nice photo opportunities.

One of the buildings surrounding Plaza Murillo. Notice the inverted clock which is to mark the new era of traditional Bolivian people after Evo Morales.
