This is a nice square with governmental buildings. One of the buildings has a clock that with reversed time. A good photo stop especially with the many pigeons in the plaza.

The park is small but very pleasant and suitable for tourists. It serves as a starting point for different excursions. The city should have more such small parks, otherwise the mood is quite bleak.

worth a swing by if you're walking around in the area, tons of birds, some snack options, and cool government buildings.

it's ok for the main square of the city. it's quite small but it hosts the most.importwnt buildings. due to it's size. it's hard to take good photos. and, of course, it almost always overcrowded. definitely worth visiting but not for longer than 20-30mins.

The clock on the Congress runs reverse to symbolise the creativity of Bolivia. On the other hand, the plaza is in desperate need of a complete make over. A puzzling contradiction...

A lovely square with an amazing and very turbulent history and presence. With elections coming up it was a buzz with action- TV crews, speakers, riot police everything! The buildings were beautiful! Worth a look!

The square is the key administration area of La Paz and is flanked on all sides with beautiful architecture.

On one side is a run down hotel which is semi boarded up (active plans to restore I understand) and then there are the two main buildings ... one of them the parliament.

A few special things to note - the backwards clock and the presidential guards who I understand are friendly for photos if that’s your thing! Also the square is ground zero for la Paz and there is a plaque to that effect in the bottom corner.

The contrast to this history is the presidential bunker and the new parliament building being built. Monstrous sky scrapers that overlook the site. I know these are controversial in the city and I can see why ...

The day we visited there were demonstrations so the police had blocked off access to the area. A simple smile and “tourist” comment will see you through ... as long as that’s what you look like !

The Plaza Murillo was humming with activity whilst I was there and the plethora of important Government buildings surrounding the Square amply rewarded the patient amateur photographer.

Plaza Murillo is the political and meeting point in La Paz, it’s cathedral and government buildings with its colorful facades.

Recently constructed there is a tall building behind the government palace, the style of this new construction breaks the main square views and as many locals put it it’s just quite horrible!
