Great course. Played last week before a big tour event. Views of the sea are great. Small Dhabi's (deer) all over the course and looking s of bird life. If being picky the clubhouse feels quite small and the Driving range isn't great - very sandy with grass breaks up very easily. Short game area excellent though. All in all... More

SBGC used to be a club with reasonably priced simple good food served by attentive staff. It is now "managed" by someone who is rude and clearly lacks in management skill or experience in hiring or training staff. Consequently, the staff can't get the basic orders for drinks or dinners right. A real shame as this used to be a... More

The course was in excellent shape, in spite of the greens being recently punched for the upcoming LPGA event. Make sure you play the correct tee box & don't try to be a hero to impress your significant other. The staff was friendly, the beverage cart was highly visible and there is a water cooler on every hole. Play early... More

I just returned from a stay & play golf trip to Abu Dhabi. As part of the Troon Golf offering, I really enjoyed playing the course at Saadiyat Beach GC, adjacent to the St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort. It is absolutely worth the time and money to take a taxi/car there to play one morning or afternoon. My tee off... More

The course is well designed and provides a good challenge. The staff come with cold towels and ice lollies when its hot and are very helpful in all ways. It just that the experience lacks something. You feel like a visitor, a temporary number just there to pay the bills. The experience lacks that special personal touch.

An exceptional day even though the temperatures hit 41 -- course is kept in excellent shape and the staff make sure you have plenty of treats to cover any desire. Water is provided each hole so it was each to stay hydrated. Is a real golfing gem as it is sculpted on the desert island. Greens were fast and true... More

The golf course is nicely situated on the waterfront and has a relaxing resort feel to it. Course is in good condition and it is a good challenge with a few holes where you want to reconsider your choice of club from the tee box. Very nice with wildlife on the course and good service from the staff on the... More

This golf course is one of the two big ones in Abu Dhabi, great views, usually has some wind (which is wanted in this heat), gazelles all around, WONDERFUL staff. The driving range is used as an executive course on occasions. Fun course to enjoy. Even the stupidest hole in golf, hole #15. Typically in outstanding shape. Restaurant is great... More

They claim there are 76 bunkers but some run over 100yards alongside the fairway! This is a precise course where you will need to study distances and judge your landing areas. But get it right and you'll be rewarded with a very memorable round. Recommended.

I'm guessing playing golf in 42 degree heat is asking for it, but it takes nothing away from the great experience it was. I've not played it for 2 years and the course still throws up the same challenges and frustrations but then again I'm an average golfer. Seeing the gazelles was a bonus and having the refreshment cart every... More
