Welcoming, information packed, and free - A MUST-VISIT cultural experience in Abu Dhabi
I couldn’t rate this higher, a simply spectacular visit in Abu Dhabi. I was in the country for my first time on a business trip and heard non-stop suggestions to see this Grand Mosque. I am SO GLAD I did. As a non-Muslim I wanted to learn, but also be respectful. I was welcomed in and taught so much. The cultural tour was worth every second. Everything was free, but if they charged for this I would pay in a heartbeat.

To the bottom of my heart
This one I would like to write in English, so more readers can comprehend what I m willing to express. It is not about the beauty of the location, not about the royal architecture, not even about the great knowledge transmitted, it is about a heart warming feeling that you keep for your lifetime after the visit of this marvelous place supervised by Mrs Mooza Al Mansouri. Once you receive a profound love from a person for his/ her country, the deep understanding of the pride for the traditions, the peaceful message of faith, you can not stay indifferent; above all, you become different. I just wish to manifest my sincere gratitude for this time given to our head tour Mrs Al Mansouri and the chance to see this magic of the Mosque and visionary attitude of the first ruler HH Sheikh Zayed through her eyes. This experience will be forever mine. Thank you from France

    Grand Mosque 🕌
What a beauty this place is! Definitely a must visit. Would recommend visiting around 6 so that you can see both versions - day and night. It turns even more beautiful during the night with moonlight and other lighting. Would also suggest taking an official tour which starts every hour. Our guide was absolutely fantastic and we could access the worshipper lane which is less busy with a chance to click better pictures

    Amazing!
We joined the free tour of the mosque, led be Seif, and this was the most amazing experience - he showed us all the interior, told us a lot of interesting information and added native flavor to the overall experience with his politeness, humbleness and intelligence. Highly recommend this tour, one of the best we ever attended! Thank you, Seif, for making it unforgettable!

Beautiful but tour was almost like a museum
World's 3rd largest mosque. The place was magnificent. You park your car, enter through the underground mall, then walk 15 minutes to the other end of the mall to enter the mosque. Security is like airport screening, and no vapes or drones allowed from within the property. The tour is guided within ropes like a museum, so don't expect to walk around freely everywhere; but that's a good thing, because that way others can't pollute your photos. It does get a bit crowded so you might have to wait a few minutes in line for each good spots for good angles. Carry light but bring water.

    Breathtaking
We visited the mosque on a hot summer day, when temperature was scorching. But this mosque literally took our breath way. Best architecture created by human after Taj Mahal. We took a guided tour in the mosque, which not only free but informative. One just have to remember to book online in advance. Roda, our took guide was very friendly and helpful. Impressed with her knowledge.

    Magnificent Mosque!
I visited Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque this past weekend and I found it to be truly stunning. The Mosque is enormous and incredibly impressive with its intricate details, grand architecture, and overall beauty. I recommend going around dusk so that you can see it in sunlight and in the dark, when it is lit up according to the moon phases. I also highly recommend taking the free tour as you will learn so many interesting facts and details about the Mosque and you will have an opportunity to ask questions. You also get to see a different part of the Mosque that you won't see on your own. Our tour guide, Aisha Mubarak, was amazing. She really had a passion for sharing her culture and she was so open and kind and I learned so much from her. This is one of the highlights of my trip to Abu Dhabi. It's a must-see, for sure. Oh, bring sunglasses. It's very bright and shiny!

    Grand Mosque
A fascinating insight into the traditions and beliefs of Islam, provided to us by our passionate guide. The mosque is overwhelming in its grandeur, but the intricacy of the detail continued over such a grand scale is breathtaking. Definitely a must on any visit to Abu Dhabi.

    Impressive and Stunning
This is arguably one of the most impressive and beautiful mosque’s we have ever visited, probably for the incredible use of white marble. We were blown away by the beauty and architecture of the building. The electronic guide was useful, but please remember you need to use an ID to get these that isn’t your passport. i.e. your home nation driving license. The tour doesn’t take long but you can spend as much or as little time there as you like, it gets busy, but it’s amazing so don’t be surprised that everyone else wants to be there too. We enjoyed our time there and taking in this important part of modern culture and architecture, we will return to view again at night. A credit to the UAE.

Beautiful facility with a great free tour
We had a long layover in Abu Dhabi and made our way here. There is a periodic free shuttle from the airport (we took the 12:00), which is very convenient if your time fits their schedule. We registered in the visitor center and took the free 30-minute tour at 13:00. Our guide Fatima (guide number 181) did a great job of explaining the mosque while showing us around. Note: be sure to follow the dress code.

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one the world's largest mosques and a massive architectural work of art that intentionally blends different architectural schools. Impressive scale. If you’re lucky to hear Imam praying - priceless experience.
Our tour guide Obaid was excellent. Knowledgeable and tactful, respectful and with a great sense of humor.
Must Visit once you’re in Abu Dhabi.
Thank you

Our tour guide, Mahra, gave a grand tour befitting the spirit of the mosque. We particularly enjoyed the family-friendly nature and the introduction to aspects of Islamic culture. The site and building are both magnificent to behold. I would recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about Islam.

We had a guided tour with Ali, which was excellent, in English and ideal for non Muslims. The architecture and construction is first rate.
Women need to be fully covered- avoid linen as any degree of transparency is a no go- suitable clothing can be bought (not hired or borrowed post covid) for around 100 dirhams near the main entrance.
My only gripe is that the dress code for men seemed to be completely ignored by the staff.

Brilliant tour from Mahmood. I learnt so much and he had such a friendly disposition. Really enjoyed learning about the different materials used in construction and about the prayer times and meanings.

One of the most beautiful locations that I have ever seen. From the minarets, marble floors, and large chandeliers, everything is kept immaculate. The location can hold about 50,000 worshipers at one time, with about 20,000 being inside the main building. It allows for a great moment of reflection and worship.

The mosque's pristine white marble exterior and intricately designed interiors, featuring gold-plated chandeliers and mosaic tiling, create a breathtaking visual experience. It welcomes millions of visitors annually, offering insights into Islamic culture and promoting interfaith dialogue. The mosque’s serene ambiance, combined with its stunning beauty, makes it a must-visit destination for both spiritual reflection and architectural admiration.

One of the best maintained monuments around the globe, simply breathtaking views and designs. Marbles, architecture, design, history, the culture where we open doors to people to understand the way of life in Muslim world. A true testament of hardworking and dedicated people of the country

This is one of the most beautiful structures, building or in this case, mosque, that I have ever been into and visited.. around the world. i have been to many countries abroad, but this one is a must, see and visit..

A mosque dedicated to one of history’s, great man and leader of the modern world especially to its people of UAE, and Abu Dhabi.

Arrived here from New Zealand in 2018 and have since live here as a resident of Abu Dhabi.. and we visit this place at least once a year or more to see its beauty, especially at sunsets or its glowing lights at night!

It has amazing parking and full shopping mall below ground prior to entering the pathway to its entrance. You must dress appropriately and respectfully to coincide with its rich cultures and presence of something that’s bigger than yourself..

Highly recommend as part of visit to UAE.. you won’t regret it or forget.

Beautiful guided tour with Asma al Khalifa
We were lucky enough to be just two people and to enjoy a practically private tour.
Asma al Khalifa was very kind and good at explaining the architectural details of the mosque and the religious and symbolic function it performs. It was a wonderful experience which, however, seems not to be known to most people. I recommend you do it because it's free and enriches your knowledge.
