Msheireb looks amazing, a place you would visit again and again, relaxing and peaceful.
The walk through different buildings, shops is amazing.

Very interesting museum located at one end of the Corniche. Gives an excellent history of Doha and the transformation that is taking place. Museums in Doha are free to visit. Take a walk along the 7km Corniche and visit the Islamic Art Museum at the other end. An interesting city expanding for the future.

Tried to visit as I was passing through during normal opening hours in April 2019. There was a sign outside saying closed for maintenance. Not sure if I was just unlucky that day. No further information available.

This small museum gives a brief but excellent and easily understood history of the rapid transformation of Doha from small town to major city in the space of 60 years. The future town planning exhibit gives an exciting insight into a new, sustainable and “human scale” development that many large cities in the world should aspire to.

If you have never been to Qatar and want to learn about its actual past livelihood and developments, then you need to visit this place.
This place provides great information about the past few decades and visual of aerial images of how the place looked liked before how it became to what we see today. It also exhibits miniature infrastructure designs of previous and future plans.
This centre is innovative of itself, it is built on to a decommissioned barge that they turned into a magnificent place to visit near downtown Doha.

Lovely location and although it is small it is very informative and has some clever features. Pleased we went and the manager was extremely helpful and gave us a brief overview. The staff were very welcoming and offered free coffee or water which was a nice surprise.

We enjoyed our visit here because the four different houses that make up the center introduce four areas of the history of Doha-- family life, leadership, labor and founding. I highly recommend a visit here before going shopping at the souk across the road.

It only takes about 30 minutes to go around but it is very interesting to see the artifacts and pictures from old Doha. The model for Msheireb is fun to see as well. A very good place to take visitors to Doha and then have a coffee in Costa beside it afterwards or go to the Sheraton Park.
