The museum is one of the must see visit to do in Doha, great architecture, wide, quiet, nice exposed pieces, in a typical intimate museum atmosphere. Everything is done to be at the top. It is however quite small.

Visiting the Museum of Islamic Art is one of my favorite things to do in Doha. The building is gorgeous and the artifacts are interesting but I really love sitting in the serene cafe drinking coffee and looking out at the water. It's such a peaceful place.

A tribute to Doha. It has a vast history of Islamic art from around the world and shows of the how Islam developed around the world. I wish there were more museums like this around the world.

The Museum is a treat to visit with family and friends or even alone. The Museum is nestled in the park next to the Arabian Gulf. Entrance and parking are free. The main exhibits on show when we visited were the Chinese terracotta warriors and Muhammad Ali's memorabilia. These supplement the traditional Islamic historical exhibits on show. The Ottoman, Persian... More

This museum is free of charge and a must see when in Doha. Wonderful history and exhibits to see. If super keen you could quite easily spend a whole day there. Some wonderful photo opportunities around this building.

Designed by IM Pei, the building itself is a work of art. Inside you can visit two floors of some very impressive and lovely Islamic art dating back to the 8th century. Collection contains art from Spain to China and is quite comprehensive. The bejeweled falcon was my favorite! Free secure bag storage. Audio guides and free tours also available.... More

Did not expect much of this museum despite its excellent location and the beautiful park that surrounds it but was pleasantly surprised. The building in itself is worth a visit with some architectural features worth seeing and a cafe placed by a high, enormous set of windows overlooking the sea. The exhibition is set in rooms which have similar dark... More

This museum architect is neat from the outside to the inside. The exhibits were wonderful. It was clean, quiet had free wifi just a great place to visit. They also had a nice cafe there where you can sit and enjoy the city view. Great selections on food and drinks too. Try the date milkshake!
