Cornish is ok, quite average for me. There is the sea, but nobody swims. For extra money you can stop in a club with pools and other amenities and suntan there, or on the bench alongside
As about the whole trip, guided tours are a must

Huge promenade that runs along coast in Beirut with lots of rocks where people swim and fish from as well as some beach clubs with facilities. There are also restaurants dotted along the corniche as well as great views of Pigeon rocks. Great for a stroll/swim/exercise on a Beirut visit

This a beautiful place to see the locals and see the Mediterranean. The beaches and Pigeon Rock are in full view. You do have to deal with vendors but they are respectable.

I have been to the old corniche a few times, just to hang out and see the sights.

Went to the new corniche just slightly further along and also enjoyed my stroll.

Both are free and right next to the sea. Worth the walk.

A long shore where you can walk along and rest at cafes nearby. Really enjoyed it although it was rainy at the time I was there.

Depending on which part of the Corniche you walk will inform what you think about the Corniche. There are some very chic parts which are lovely to stroll. There are other parts that are more workaday and less salubrious. Certainly worth a quick stroll on part of the nicer sections.

The Beirut Corniche is probably one of most beautiful promenades if you want to make a long and relaxing walk. Starting at the Zaytunay Bay this promenade stretches out for several km's with some nice view points such as the pigeon rocks. Even during the cooler winter-month of december people love to stroll along this open area. We were lucky with the weather so for us it felt more or less like spring. Most enjoyable to watch the fishermen at the shore. Even when the evening falls there are still lots of people gathering together. There are a lot of new buildings but now and then you can find some older buildings in between which gives the environment a typical feeling.

The corniche is a great place to have a stroll by the sea and have a coffee or some lunch. It is about 5 miles long.

The Corniche is a nice pedestrionised area which is popular with local families. Nice place to kill an hour or so... but not more.
