I love Hamra. Although it is quite dirty and full of poverty, the area has a charm to it. There are great places to shop and eat as well

Went shopping here (walking distance from Midtown Golden Tulip Hotel). Lots of affordable stores. Great jewelry stores who were honest and courteous. Excellent ice cream. Great place to walk at night to see the real people! Loved it.

Hamra street and the surrounding streets is the place ware many bars, restaurants and shops are. This area is not very well known amonst the tourists, most people are the local ones. Plenty of authentic local bars and restaurants.

I did not like discovering this neighborhood no added value filled with counterfeit items and very low quality clothing. If you want to shop just don't stop here

We stayed in Coral Beirut Hotel which is located in Hamra Area close to the seaside. This place is the centre of the city. We would recommend to visit this area for good vacations. We've been to this place twice.
