Simply gigantic and packed with local people. Fresh fruits and veggies to be bargained, clean meat area with super friendly butchers showing you their special cuts, interesting restaurants, smelly fish market and small barber shops... All very local and real. A must-see if you want a cultural experience as a modern Kuwaiti.

Anyone who knows Kuwait, knows it as a place where there are fantastic malls with big/small brands. Now forget all that and rethink shopping. This is the oldest market in city. Variety of stuff is available. IT has a fish market, Perfume market, Vegetable and fruit market, gold Market. The thing I struggled most was, the general signage on the... More

A great way to spend a few hours in Kuwait city. Huge range of traders plying their wares, some bargains to be had I'm sure. Worth the visit just to take in the marvelous atmosphere and the smells from the spice stalls.

My favorite place in Kuwait if you want local merchandise or want a taste of Kuwaity delicious foods plus all heritage goods you will find it in this beautiful market &the good thing now is they don't allow cars inside so you can walk between the narrow streets and see all the shops including restaurants, vegetables market, fish market. This place is... More

It is lovely to have some feel of tradition and cultures richness. Food is so tasty too there. You can buy traditional local sweet to give your family and friends when you are back home

I think this the real place to go anytime of the day. Whether you are going for shopping, lunch, or dinning, grocery shopping or gold, spices or clothing, seafood and fish or beef and mutton, souvenirs or photo shooting. The list is endless, but one thing I really enjoyed, is going to restaurants during the evenings for grilled kebabs and... More

A huge traditional market selling almost everything you need including large varity of meals. in the center of the old city, yet difficult to find due to shortage of street signs. parking is a bit difficult and the area around it needs development. it worth a visit.

The place was crowded with shops selling everything. It was also crowded with people. In the heart of kuwait. It was not easy to find though as there no many signs for it.parking and access need improvement.
