- KEmma5 contributionsInformative, Beautiful, and InclusiveWe were able to dress in abays and enter the mosque. The guide gave so much great information and happily answered questions. The architecture was stunning. There were several interesting booklets on Islam and Christianity.Visited December 2022Written 16 December 2022
- StotheNStockholm, Sweden547 contributionsA quick visit which could have gone on for longer ...I visited this mosque as part of a city your. The local tour guide here is very passionate and could go on for hours uninterrupted. He explains everything about that mosque and the religion very well. I could come back here just to learn more about the history of the place again.Visited January 2023Travelled soloWritten 7 January 2023
- Flower53_10Tbilisi, Georgia1,548 contributionsVery pleasant experienceWe visited this mosque and it was well worth it. Of course like in any mosque in the Gulf region they require the women to wear abbaya or Islam appropriate clothes. Here, they are very friendly and you can choose your own abbaya from the variety they have. Each abbaya is dry cleaned after singly use. Great service. Also we were greeted by the reception by a very friendly girl who had a smile on her face and showed us to the waiting area where we could seat and wait for our guide. Our guide Mehdi ( by the way , he was a volunteer) was a very knowledgeable, older gentleman, who knew a lot about Islam, mosque, etc. and spoke several languages. Very impressive. All the above mentioned things made our experience very pleasant acne unforgettable.Visited February 2023Written 11 August 2023
- LolaGo1Washington DC, District of Columbia6,407 contributionsGot bored here by the long talk re Islam!Having recently visited mosques in Morocco, Egypt and Jordan, I got bored here by the long explanation about the Islamic religion. Most of the tours I had attended in other countries, the guides simply talked about the mosques themselves such as dates constructed, materials used , etc and then I was let go to move around the mosques and take photos. This was not the case here! Took some pictures here of the chandeliers, ceiling area, wood panels, etc. before hurrying to meet my driver waiting outside. Returned the abaya to the Reception Area. Note that toilet facilities are located outside, near the Parking Area.Visited November 2023Travelled soloWritten 9 November 2023

Not as big or as grand as Abu Dhabi, but definitely worth a visit. The guide gives lots of information about the mosque and the Islam faith which was very interesting and informative. Definitely on the “To Do” list when in Bahrain.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 20 November 2023

I have been here a few times since moving to Bahrain. An awe-inspiring architecturally excellent building and awesome inside too.

It is a very nice mosque and the guided tour is excellent. Very clear and short explanation of the basics of Islam. The guide is informative and humble. I recommend it to everybody... :)

Entered this Mosque on my last day in Bahrain. We got there at the beginning of a mid morning call to Prayers. We had a tour guide and there were 5 in our group. Its something to see if you are in Bahrain. Try to plan it around prayer time. There were no issues taking photos or video. Its the biggest Mosque in Bahrain as well,

Absolutely an excellent place to visit. Simply gorgeous building, and wonderful exclamation of Islam. I really learned a lot, and recommend this highly to anyone visiting Bahrain.

Hello, is the Al-Fatih Mosque open for visitors during the holy month of Ramadan?
Even if guided tours are not available during this time, could I still go inside just to look around for a few minutes (outside of prayer hours of course). Or at least walk around the outside to take some pictures?

There can not be a cost to visit a mosque as per Islam. Hence, the worship place it free to visit. However, one need to be respectful for the tradition.

Your review was really helpful, thank you.
What day did you do the tour please? I would imagine Fridays are not the best day due to worshipping.
Is there car parking too?
Thank you

We toured on Thursday... there is plenty of parking right outside . Most mosques do not allow tourism on Fridays as it is their main worship day
