King Hussein Bin Talal Mosque is the largest mosque in Jordan.
built in 2005 in the reign of King Abdullah II in West Amman, specifically in Al Hussein Public Parks at King Abdullah II Street near King Hussein Medical Center.
The mosque is located at an altitude of 1,013 metres above sea level and can thus be seen from most parts of Amman.
It is square and features four minarets and marble floors.
In 2012, King Abdullah opened the Museum of the Prophet which houses a number of relics associated with the Islamic prophet Muhammad.
Highly recommended and a must visit wherever you are visiting Amman .

Dropped by during mid-day prayers to experience the culture and devotion of the people. Was able to remove my shoes and observe from an outer courtyard. Located in the busy downtown market area of Amman.

Even our tour guide did not realise till we got there that the mosque was not open to non Muslims. This was very disappointing for a country that claims to practice religious tolerance.

This mosque is on a hill, that has a great view of the surrounding areas. The mosque is modern but has a lot of character with its architectural style. It is one of Amman's landmark mosques.
The facilities are good. It's a relaxing mosque and l would recommend taking a trip here as non-Muslim tourists are welcome.

I greatly enjoyed visiting the Mosque - something we did during the day. It was both peaceful and quiet with very few tourists present. We also especially liked the gift shop that you walk through to get to the Mosque - although staff are obviously there to sell you items, they also took their time in answering questions, explaining history and culture, etc. I'm so glad we made this a stop on our first time visit to Jordan.
