Being locals we have taken self tours many times around Tel Aviv to visit the White City. There are some great tours from several tour operators including by the city. Tel Aviv boasts some wonderful architecture which is one of the reasons why it's great to walk around.

In this beautiful neighbourhood you will find some very nice Bauhaus archtitecture. And you can see how the city developed, from Jaffa to Neve Tzedek, to the White City and the new business districts. Very nice for a stroll. If you like to have more information about the houses and architects you should try to get a guided tour.

Take a stroll from Habima Theatre to Neve Tzedek and get to see the best of the "White City". The Bauhaus architecture is outstanding and you can see why Tel Aviv was designed a UNESCO World Heritage site. There are bike lanes on either side and a big boardwalk for walking. Lots of good cafes along the way and many... More

I had read all the tour books about Tel Aviv being a Unesco World Heritage site and all of the Bauhaus architecture. What I didn't expect to find there was how young and healthy the population was. Each morning we would rise to see people paddle boarding, swimming cycling and running along the crystal clear Medditeraan see.Restaurants were always full... More

Bauhaus tour provides you a fully updated insight in the construction of a quickly growing city and the difficulties to maintain or restore the original protected houses.

This tour was wonderful to listen as the birth of the Nation was relayed to me in its architecture. David was our guide, he was knowledgable, intelligent, and sensitive. This was especially difficult with a group of over 150 tourists on a holiday Saturday morning looking for a free tour. He calmly called in reinforcers and gave his best for... More

Worth taking the 11am Bauhaus walking tour that starts on Rothschild Blvd. You get an overview of the history of the city and the changes that have occurred as world events happened.

The guide (Daniel) was well informed and interesting and anyone interested in Bauhaus architecture and how it developed in Tel Aviv, will enjoy this tour. Moderate walking is involved and the tour takes about 2 hours.

Be sure to take a walking tour of the Bauhaus area around Rothchild Blvd. Every Saturday at 11 am, free (a voluntary donation is suggested). Without a tour you'll miss the essence of this architectural era as well as the buildings themselves.
