One evening I walked the Tayelet – the beautiful coastal footpath road which runs from Old Jaffa along Tel Aviv’s beaches to the Ports (and on to Herzliya about 20 kms?) Along the way I observed lots of high-rise towers going up, people swimming and...More

In the summer, it is really hot so walk the tayelet in the early morning or the late afternoon. But it is really worth the walk - a beautiful seaside experience.

Tel Aviv tayelet is especially great for an early morning walk or bike ride before it gets too crowded. We rented bikes along the tayelet and rode up to the old Jaffa market.

It's everything you would want in a beach, clean, showers on hand, food and drink nearby, soft sand and nice sunsets. Of course, it's packed, but the setting is lovely.

Yes, there are a couple of bathroom structures where you can change. I'm germ phobic so I don't go near them. Some showers on the beach too.
