Very trendy and bohemian area in Tel Aviv and a great location to stay in with its quaint homes, choice of restaurants and proximity to the beach.

We were staying in this neighborhood. It was a 5 minute walk to the Carmel market, it was a 10 minute walk to the beach. There had to be 30 cafes within a 10 block radius and given our sampling, all of them were wonderful. The architecture is interesting and eclectic and there has been a lot of restoration.

An old neighborhood became an area of Yemen and oriental food. Near Ha-Carmel market, where you can shop cheap cloths and fresh vegetable

Stroll around this unique and authentic neighborhood. Chose an Israeli style restaurant and you will never forget the aroma and taste.

Thank goodness we ran into a young chef who recommended we eat here. We traipsed Carmel Market and then snuck behind the back streets to Kerem Hatamaneim to find a world of authentic Yemini storefronts with outdoor seating, plastic tablecloths and fresh fresh food. We stopped at a nondescript cafe and ate the BEST hummus and Yemeni bread on Earth. We felt as though we had stepped back in history and it was amazing. The malabeh for dessert was the crowning touch.

Very unique old neighborhood of Tel Avis. Small streets with many small but interesting restaurants. Very busy on Thursday nights and Friday morning if you are at your 30th thats a must.
