I went with a friend and I really enjoyed myself, make sure to bring a flashlight or buy one, you should also read a bit about the history of the tunnel. It is really old and from the time of the bible. With that in...More

As you read about Hezekiah in the Old Testament - this city and its tunnels will come alive. Don't miss it.

What a wonderful engineering marvel located just a few steps from the Western wall. It was uncrowded and cool (literally). A great thing to do in the summer. English tours are 10:00 and 2:00 most days, but you can also go on your own if...More

One thing is to have read about this engineering feat in the Bible but to actually see if and walk through it and see how it has been dug from both directions and both teams meeting up (without all our modern technology!) is something one...More

When touring the tunnels we were given the option of the "wet route" or the "dry route;" the gentleman at the ticket counter recommended the "wet route," so that's what we took. I would not recommend this if you are at all claustrophobic; my husband...More

This is not an experience for anyone prone to claustrophobia as one walks for the best part of 1800 feet under the ancient city of David in pitch dark along the tunnel cut by King Hezekiah's skilled workmen. It is very thrilling to see the...More

It's about 500 meters long and it takes about 40 minute to went through that. Can't imagine how they can chisel such a long tunnel. It's once in a life time experience and pretty fun to do as a team activity.

Reliving how people created / walked thru the tunnels... Do this in December, it was freezing winter cold in the air, it was raining, and the water was cold- what an incredible experience! You gotta try this....

Apparently King Hezekiah had his men dig a tunnel through solid rock to bring water to Jerusalem. Incredible engineering feat. Now tourists can wade, crawl, and creep through it. Bring your flashlight and your sandals.

Hi Margaret, Hezekiah's Tunnel was one of my favorite historical places inside Jerusalem. The walk through the water-filled tunnel itself probably isn't the biggest concern. I don't recall the steps getting out of the... More
