Stopped by with our jack russel, which enjoyed this park A LOT. lots of grass and beautiful places to sit in the sun. Some running water gives this park an extra touch. We liked this place a lot and highly recommend it, for a sunny day and a great picnic.

Nice old style Garden in the Middle of Jerusalem,in between tha American Consulate and Waldorf Astoria Hotel and Sheraton Jerusalem Corner of Agron and King George Streets. On the Eastern part of the garden ids the Mamilla Cemetry, with graves from the 13th Century, home of the Lions Cave with Moslem,Jewish and Christian artifacts and graves. The garden ids very popular with... More

This park has large grassy areas, trees, places for picnics and is located in the city. Sort of a green oasis in a built up city. There are ancient tombs and a reservoir worth taking a look at.

Awesome park with lots of green lawn. Beware the dog poo on grass. Unthinkable that doggies aren't banned. Key thing is the playground on the west side near King George St. Lots of fun things to do and plenty of English or Russian speaking kids. But not overcrowded.

A great place to relax, unwind, enjoy the surrounding nature, read a book or listen to some music. A haven of green and tranquility in the busy city.

Simple park with lots of space to sprawl out. During holidays people tend to bring their grills which creates lots of smoke.

Independence Park offers freedom from the normal ebb and flow of Jerusalem. Just a short walk from the light rail line, it is a quiet place for anyone who needs a moment of recluse to relax. Slightly removed from the hustle, it is a nice little place to skim the guidebook for the next Jerusalem adventure while enjoying the lunch... More

The park itself is nothing special, if you do not know that it was partially built upon the ancient Muslim cemetery. You can see some of its gravestones, along with a mausoleum and an ancient water reservoir (Mamilla pool), if you go down the street towards the Old City. There is a lot of information provided about this ancient burial... More

The park is rather big, however not very appealing from outside. Of my 3 visits to Jerusalem, only came there once - and only because my mom wanted to sit down and rest somewhere, on our way to a nearby apartment where we lived, after a long tiresome walk to Mount of Olives and back. So I found her and... More
