The museum, though small, maximizes its exhibit space. It is currently running a wide-ranging exhibit on Jewish Venice which, for those who didn't know, had the first Jewish ghetto. We were lucky enough to join a tour in English, which helped tremendously, though the exhibits were well-described on signs. I can strongly recommend this little museum.

This museum is small enough to be easy on the feet but don't judge it based on its size--it packs in the information! A new exhibition on now highlights the life of the Jews in the Venetian Ghetto. It's truly exceptional, with an eighteenth-century sukkah as the centerpiece. The museum is always busy, with cultural events as often as once... More

Visited that place only outside but it is located at a beautiful, quiet place, ideal to rest. Italian Jewish students or tourists from Italy know that place and often care for a lively atmosphere.

Our family visited the Museum of Italian Jewish Art this spring. I'd been considering the visit for a while, but the museum isn't open every day and the hours of operation are limited, so make sure to check the internet of dates/times before you plan your visit so you won't be disappointed by having it closed. The exhibits were truly... More

A very small but really lovely museum of Italian Jewish art and life. Very well put together with fascinating information provided through computer interface. It is closed on Mondays.

This museum houses exhibits of Judaica and artwork from the rich Jewish communities that were located in Italy for thousands of years.

We visited Nahon Museum of Italian Jewish Art and found it to be a pearl in Jerusalem and a must see for tourists and local residence. The Jewish art is presented in silver ,fabric and wood and from the 18 century. Great place to visit !!!

It is hard to believe that this small and interesting museum has been open since 1952! I spent 4 years in Israel in the 1980s and never heard of it. It was a great discovery. There are many interesting pieces on display, and a synagogue transplanted from the Veneto area. The man who sell the tickets is a great source... More

The Museum of Itallian Jewish Art is a little gem tucked inside a plaza off of Hillel Street in Jerusalem. It includes artifacts from a vanished way of life in Italy, complete with a synogogue that was transported piece by piece from Italy to Israel after World War II. It's a great place to go if you have an hour... More
