Rare example of a Crusader church, saved from destruction by the Islamists as even they appreciated the beautiful accoustics of the interior - now much appreciated by touring choirs who queue up to sing their rehearsed pieces. Outside is the Pool of Bethesda where Christ...More

This church was quite pretty and fairly quiet. That coupled with the Pool of Bethseda behind it was fantastic. Highly recommend for history buffs as it feels less over the top then other sites in the old city.

This church has such a wonderful charm. Fairly small in size but with such beautiful detail and stunning images adorning the walls.

Pool of Bethesda - it was a place for miracle. The pool is located at the most bottom part. By years and years, rebuild by layers and layers.

The acoustics were amazing. We loved singing with others. Also, the area is peaceful and full of things to see. The Bethesda pools are nearby and other churches.

This church with the amazing acoustics is the traditional home of Anne, mother of the Virgin Mary. It is also home of the Pool of Bethesda, where Jesus healed. The setting is so very peaceful in a very noisy quarter of the city.
