Even if you do not particularly enjoy the museum or tour one simply must stay for the light show, depicting the history of Jerusalem over many, many decades. The images are projected directly onto the walls of the tower and is accompanied by a score of choral and other music of high quality. Not to be missed.

Just before dark, you will want to visit the Tower of David to particularly see the "light show." It tells the story of Jerusalem through the millenia using modern technology projecting images on the interior walls of the courtyard. Tickets are needed, so try to get them in advance, especially during tourist season. Don't take little kids; it's too late... More

There is a tour in English every day at 11 that is included in the entrance fee to the museum. My guide was very good, knowledgeable and able to answer questions. The museum is actually in a medieval castle that played an important role in Jerusalem's history. Note: There are a lot of steps especially in the beginning, not for... More

The museum view of the old city and Temple Mount from west to east is by far the best you can find and a must first stop when entering through Jaffa gate for the first time, this experience was always combined with an amazing movie shown at the David's tower museum just before going up to see the city for the... Artistic and exciting...this light show used the old stones of the ancient city of David as a backdrop to tell the story of Jerusalem in a most exciting and innovative way. Just do it!

you are seated in the center of the museum which is outside. Suddenly, you are surrounded by a light show on all the ancient walls. The show dramatically depicts the history of Jerusalem. I have never seen a production like this. It is fantastic and more moving emotionally than many of the other historical sites in the city. This is... More

The grounds are really beautiful, and the museum does an excellent job of depicting and explaining the history of this area. The individual exhibit rooms are air conditioned (thankfully!) and there are really nice views of the city from up top. We purchased the combo ticket for the night show, but were just too tired to make it to the... More

An amazing venue and an original concept in presentation - but like a lot of other things in the region. it doesn't quite work. Unless you know the progression through history, some of the action illustrations are a bit obscure and the brochure is impossible to follow whilst trying to follow the action across a wide field of vision. It... More

I'd firstly like to thank Henry Israel, our very pleasant volunteer guide yesterday, as he took us through a 2-3 hour walk through of Jerusalem through the ages. Clearly passionate about his adopted home city (but of course, partisan- he did often refer to the reunification as a 'wonderful thing' and did not have many positive things to say about... More

The night show in the Tower of David is ok (not so clear) but overpriced. It is chilly at night so dress well.
