The museum is a nice overview of the history (Jewish and non-Jewish) of Israel. It is well organized and housed in the beautiful Tower of David. The views over Jerusalem from the highest tower are amazing. I think that the best part comes out at night, with the Night Spectacular light show. It is one of the most eventful things... More

Very interesting with regard to Crusader history. As the archaeology digs progress, there will be more and more to see and learn.

I had not planned to visit any museums on my trip, but got caught in a heavy rain on a chilly day in the old city. The entrance fee was reasonable, the displays were interesting and informative. Just note there are no actual ancient artifacts in the museum.

The tower of David museum is a must see if you want to understand the history of Jerusalem. It should be the first stop in your itinerary. Plan to spend 2-3 hours here based on your interest in history. Their tours are highly recommended. The view from the top of Jerusalem old city is not to be missed.

Impeccably choreographed sound and lights. Really enjoyable and powerful show. Do dress warmly though as it's very chilly!

Worth the visit. Climb the towers for a view of Old Jerusalem and see the remains of Herod's Palace. Lots of historical pieces in the museum.

One of our first Old City stops- how can you not feel awe standing in the room of the last supper. Being able to visit David's tomb is quite inspiring.

We went to the light show at night with a tour group, and this was a very interesting experience, though it can be hard to follow if no one explains it to you ahead of time. There is music played but no narration as the light show tells the story of the Jewish people in Israel over the last several... More

Wow ... take the time to go here, be sure to climb to the tallest tower and be sure you have enough batterie power for a video of this panorama .

Unlike what was mentioned in the Lonely Planet, the Tower of David museum already closes at 4pm and not 5pm, so we missed it. It is so annoying if attractions do not stick with what is mentioned in the Lonely Planet! Fortunately there was some nice live popmusic otside - Jerusalem is a surprisingly hip city.
