The trees are hundreds of years old, if not thousands. Yet, it seems that they grow very well. The trunks have become thick (but hollowed) and gnarled. The trees still bear fruits. I learnt about life from these trees and from the significance of the garden itself. It doesn't matter if someone betrays you. You have to grow stronger and... More

Very old Olives from the time of Jesus Christ. Located at the side of the Basilica of All Nations. Very well-kept. Entyrance is free.

The garden is well maintained and easy to access. There are olive trees there that are over 1000 years and old still producing fruit.

The church looked beautiful and the Garden beautiful yet small. The view of the old city from here was nice. There are a lot of hustlers trying to make a buck around this site so use caution.

This was the first site we visited during tour of Jerusalem. It was excellent and well worth the time we spent there. The church is very interesting as are the gardens and the church over the road which was very beautiful too. Certainly worth the visit!

To be able to see these ancient trees and to know that this was a major happening here documented in our Bible....I think everyone should see this place!

You can feel the history and the pain and the happiness. So dark and shining at the same time, as Jesus himself felt for the betraying. As hearing the last prays and making new ones.

Yes there are tourists everywhere in Jerusalem, but I think because the garden was enclosed in such a small walking space, you feel their presence more. If you're visiting as part of a pilgrimage or your own spiritual journey, one might be able to disconnect from the crowd and soak in the splendour of the ancient trees and garden that... More

Each site offers a different experience for the pilgrim. This one was the experience for me. That may or may not be for you, so go see it to determine it for yourself.
