This is def the number one religious cite to see in Jerusalem. The history and holiness of this place is going to struct you. There is no experience like this. Even if you are not a Christian or religious, you cannot reach Jerusalem without visiting this church. I would recommend having a guide with you for you do not want... More

By far the most crowded of all the sites we visited in Jerusalem. There was an especially long line to approach/visit the supposed tomb of Jesus. Interesting to visit the lower levels of the building to see evidence of previous structures.

This church is huge and brimming with history, art, and faith. There are so many churches represented, its hard to keep them straight.

It was a cold rainy morning when we reached in a group of 28 friends walking through the streets of Jerusalem. A quiet and calm holy place is a must visit.

We visited the Church of the Holy Sepulchre with a group on tour of Israel. We went on a Saturday, and it was very crowded, and there were long lines. A friend and I went back on Monday afternoon, and there were far less people. I would suggest a weekday, rather than a weekend, if at all possible. It was... More

There are many disputes about where Jesus was crucified but this is the most likely because the earliest Christians pointed to this as being the site. The church is is filled with history and it functions to this day with different Christian groups worshiping at a designated time. What you will find disconcerting is that pilgrims from all over the... More

As a christian i decided to also visit this place after going to the Garden Tomb. The place is super congested and disorganized..make sure your energy and patience reserves are high. I say its a lie, it cannot be the location of calvary and tomb because 1. Jesus was not crucified within the city walls or close to the temple (near... More

One of the most visited sites in Jerusalem, The Holy Sepulchre houses the spiritual importance of Jesus' death. Frequented by devotees, it gets busy and crowded by locals and tourists alike. I must say this is a very holy and sacred spot that gets jam-packed during the Holy Days of Obligation. What's admirable in the Old City is not only... More
