Most people access the Old City through the Jaffa Gate. For the first time visitor, walking through the gate and into the Holy City is a special moment. We passed through on a daily basis, and each time it gives your a tingle. You know it's a momentous occasion, particularly for pilgrims. It's almost impossible to miss, so enjoy the... More

Jaffa gate also known as "Gate of the Prayer Niche of David"; also David's Gate) is a stone portal in the historic walls of the Old City of Jerusalem. It is one of eight gates in Jerusalem's Old City walls. Jaffa Gate is the only one of the Old City gates positioned at a right angle to the wall. This... More

The Wailing Wall (Kotel) tour thru ABRAHAMTOURS on Friday night sunset beginning shabbat started here. The guide was awesome. I loved seeing all of the various kinds of dress the faithful were wearing as they streamed in and out. There are many 1000s of shops to see inside, within the fascinating ancient atmosphere.

You enter or exit form here. It's straight into narrow walkways, roads for the locals. Lots of energy here.

This is the main entrance on Old City of Jerusalem and is near to Tower of David. Not very important tourist attraction, but if you stay in downtown of Jerusalem, from here you can enter in the old part.

It is very easy to get from Tel Aviv Airport to Jaffa Gate in Old Jerusalem. Ask in Airport's Help desk where bus 485 stops. This is a round-the-clock bus that runs every hour to Jerusalem (ticket get from the driver - 16 shekel.). Take it and in about 35 min get off on the stop 'Jerusalem Central Bus Station'... More

The Jaffa Gave is adjacent to the Mamilla Mall and you can go from the modern to the ancient in a matter of minutes. Worth seeing.

There are a number of gates to go into the old city .. unquestionably this is one of the most interesting as it also leads to other interesting parts of the city too.

It is probably the most recognizable of the gates of Jerusalem because it is very practical for tourists to find this landmark, the gateway to the Old City. It provides easy access to the Christian Quarter (on the left), Muslim Quarter (straight ahead) and the Armenian Quarter (to the right, past the Tower of David). You can see the 1948... More

This is a gate that will take your breath away. When you reach Jaffe gate you know you have reached the Holy Land. Why it is the entrance to the old city. It is the entrance to the tower of David. It is the beginning of your journey to the western wall. The sites, smells of local food and shopping.... More
