A tour of the National Library is a rare glimpse into realms of the past, some of them fading, and realms of the present as they take shape. The National Library houses unique collections of ancient maps and rare books, an abundance of original music recordings, ephemera and advertisements from various periods in the history of Palestine-Israel, a comprehensive press archive, and more. Library tours highlight collection items that the ordinary reader is unlikely to encounter.

It has one of the largest stained glass windows I've seen with an English and Hebrew explanation. The library is free to use but you must check your bag. The collection of books and magazines is unmatched for its focus on Israel.

Housing all Hebrew literature this is an impressive collection. Throughout the building there are a number of exhibits of the walls with interesting descriptions to add extra ambience. The cafe is also a good place for lunch.
