JUNE 5-July 3 2012 I stayed here as part of the Biblical Studies program in what became a life changing experience for me. THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO STAY IN THE OLD CITY AND WILL REMAIN FOREVER CLOSE TO MY HEART. Don't come and stay here if you are after 5 Star accommodation or if you even if you... More

This was a really well placed delightful place to stay. The only improvement would have been air conditioning. The fan in the room was good but air con would have been better. The room was fine, the bathroom small and due to Ramadan the outside was very noisy at night

This review does not speak to any part of the convent other than the paving stones in the basement which we visited as a potential place where Jesus was brought before Pilate. Due to modern archaeology and more known ancient sources, It appears that these paving stones were put here by the Emperor Hadrian in the second century CE over... More

Great place to stay in the heart of Jerusalem. Clean rooms and friendly staff made the experience one to cherish. I would go back there on my next vacation.

Four of us stayed here for 6 nights in May 2015 on half board basis. Our twin bedded room was adequate, but the two singles were rather small. Breakfast was self service with cereal, toast, yoghurt and sometimes cold meats or cheese. The Dinners were superb - mainly local food, much of which I had never tried before but there... More

The roman roads, the underground waterways, the hidden history beneath the streets of the Old City are all here. Not many people visit, which is a shame. This place really gives a sense of history. Refreshingly, this site is not presented in a massively politicized way, as are some of the historical places in Jerusalem.

Second visit to the Ecce Homo Convent. In 2012 I was alone, staying in the male dorm. I was accompanied by my wife on my return in April 2013. This atmospheric residence provides basic accommodation in the heart of the Old City. Breakfast and evening meal with wine provided at reasonable cost. The pleasant patio directly overlooks Temple Mount. All... More

The Jerusalem of biblical times is often more in the mind than on the ground in a city that has been destroyed again and again. But strange the things that have survived, if not always from the time of Jesus then from around those times. The Ecco Homo site may have been the place where Jesus was paraded before the... More

In center focus of the via just down from the Damascus gate is a wonderful place to spread your wings and explore the Arab and other sections. All sorts of tasty activities take place in your direct sight. The convent is clean to a fault, well organized, respectful of foreigners, and the rooms are adequate. More than satisfactory if you...
