This was a mess, not organized, not convenient, and exhausting to come and go. RCL cruise line needs to find a better route that avoids this terrible port. We were very disappointed and sets a bad tone for any cruise.

Our cruise itinerary to the Holy land took in the Ports of Haifa and Ashod. There were trips planned from both ports by the cruise line, however we felt we would be better served going with a small group on an independent basis.Guided Tours Israel was recommended on Trip Advisor. Our contact with this company proved very worthwhile,The tours from both ports were excellent with very knowledgeable driver/ guides.Being a small group we were able to utilise our time to the full, and maximise the number of places visited.(Our guides seemed to have many local contacts to advise on traffic, parking,,visitors and closure times!) We would have no hesitation in recommending Alon Schneider and Guided Touis Israel to anyone who wishes to see all the wonders that are in Israel and Bethlehem.

We booked shore excursions for our cruise which stopped at Haifa and Ashdod. From the very beginning, Aron at Guided Tours Israel was so wonderful to deal with - especially as we were booking at the very last minute. He responded promptly and was extremely helpful as we were deciding what to visit on our tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable, experienced and accommodating. Aron and Guided Tours Israel were so professional. I would not hesitate for a moment to call on their help again or recommend them without reservation. Albert... Miami, FL

I went with my husband and children from Haifa for the holy land tour with Zahi as the tour guide. Zahi was simply amazing and was able to show and explain everything with great knowledge and enthusiasm within the short time that was available. He treated everyone in the tour as one family and even compiled a video of our trip which he has uploaded on youtube! This tour is definitely cheaper and more personal than any of the cruise shore excursions, and I can't recommend Guided Tours Israel and especially Zahi highly enough!

Our cruise ship docked at Haifa port for 2 days at the end of Nov. On the 2nd day when the ship had to leave at 3, we took advantage of the free shuttle service which the local Tourism Board provided to cruise passengers. The ride took about 75 minutes which started from 9 a.m. Frequency was every 90 minutes for the shuttle with 5 stops (German Colony, Carmel Center, Haifa Beaches, Haifa Mall and Grand Canyon Shopping Mall). Passengers could get off at any stop but if the shuttle bus is full, they would not be able to get on with the return journey. FYI, there was free WiFi at the Carmel Center and Grand Canyon Shopping Mall.
Highlight of the shuttle bus journey was the visit to the top of the Baha'i Garden. The bus stopped there for about 5-7 minutes so that all tourists could get off to take some excellent pictures of the beautiful garden and a bird's eye view of the whole Haifa Port. By taking this free shuttle bus journey, cruise passengers can save money without joining the excursion tour to Baha'i Garden and the surrounding port area.

Having just returned from our overseas trip, we wanted to pass along our thanks for the wonderful tours offered from Ashdod and Haifa during the two days we spent in Israel. We have so many happy memories of the time spent there and can’t wait to return, hopefully for a longer visit.
Our tour guide/driver, Moti, ensured we had an extremely enjoyable experience. Moti was able to give us so much information about the various sites we visited and made sure we got as much as we could out of our short time in your amazing country. He is a fount of knowledge and a credit to your company. You must be very proud to have him as a member of your staff.
He took great care of us and catered to the limitations of these older folks whenever necessary. All in all, we had a fabulous time in Israel and would certainly highly recommend the services of your company to any of our friends and acquaintances who might be visiting your area. Actually, we already have - to some friends who are currently considering a trip to Israel.
Please pass along our thanks again to Moti. He certainly made this visit a highlight of our trip. Also thanks to yourself for putting these arrangements in place.

I last visited this Bahia Shrine in September 2011 and this year carefully checked their website to see when one could do the complete tour of the gardens.
As they offer free tours I strongly recommend that if you are visiting that you check their website for times and days when available. They have been running free tours daily in English at 12 noon with the exception of Wednesdays. It is essential you arrive at the tour entrance which is at 45 Yefe Nof Street at least 15-30 minutes before the tour starts to be sure of a place. This is about 100 meters to the left of the main viewing balcony for the gardens (left looking down at the gardens) and is away from the main tourist area which can be swamped with people.
The tour takes you down each of the terraces and I lost count of the steps but it is over 100 steps down and not suitable for those with walking problems or those who need a wheelchair. It really is a very steep decent and you exit at the bottom where the entrance to the lower gardens is situated on Hatzionut Avenue.
If you want to visit the temple itself as this closed to the public at 12 noon I suggest you visit this first and then take a Taxi or No 23 bus to Yefe Nof Street
The Tour lasts about 45 minutes and was well worth the effort and I had lots of photo opportunities.
Toilets are available in the Gardens at the end of the Tour and they are also available opposit the Viewing Balcony on Mount Carmel which is at 61 Yefe Nof Street.

We were warmly welcomed by our guide Yohai in Haifa even though our ship had docked late and soon he proved not only to be very knowledgeable in history and art, but also a very attentive and charismatic individual.
Yohai drove us to all the places in our wish list always staying attentive to our questions and special requests, and I cannot recommend him enough as an excellent tour guide.
Booking with this local company allowed us a more personal experience, and for a lower price it offers much greater flexibility in schedule and transportation than the standard tour.
All in all this tour was the best part of our cruise vacation.

We spent two days with Jerry Bloom of Guided Tours Israel (GTI) in Haifa and Ashdod. He did an amazing job sharing insights and enthusiasm about his country. His knowledge base was amazing and he was able to share this with all of us.
We enjoyed our tours very much and to many this was the highlight of our trip. I would not hestiate to recommended Guided Tours Israel and Jerry Bloom to everyone as I know you will have a wonderful experience.

During our 2-day visit to Israel (by cruise ship) we had a private tour guide provided by Guided Tours Israel. Our guide was very pleasant , very knowledgeable, and very accomodating. He took us to see all the highlights--the Old CIty, the Dead Sea, Bethlehem, Nazareth, etc.
Our family had a wonderful time!! We highly recommend this tour company.

Guided tours Israel are an excellent company who will pick you up from your cruise ship and organise a tour to suit your requirements. They are excellent value for money and reliable. If you need to cancel at any time then a full refund will be made.
