Took about an hour of a very slow hike to get from the parking to the fortress. The view from the fortress is amazing. Was easy for small kids as well

We hiked through this area as part of a 4-day sea-to-sea hike, from the Mediterranean Sea to the Sea of Galilee. The area was stunning... watch out for boar. They're a bit scary but they don't attack.

Although the trails aren't as well marked as they should be (there are several trails, which merge), this is a great park. The hike to and from the Crusader ruins is challenging and only for the fit.

I saw the Plans and I hope they will start with construction soon, Huge place with a bad access to come with Infants. However its good to know that they are going to Design and do some Architecture soon. The Pedal boats are nice and that's the only thing that we done. Also a great place to Park and Rest... More

Firstly the important stuff. To do this properly you need: lots of water, swimming clothes, food, energy, about 5 hours and a positive attitude! It doesn't help that we did this in the middle of the day in mid August temperatures! However, I recommend taking the circular route that goes to the Kziv stream and swimming pools, then goes along... More

Goren Park gives stunning views of the Montfort Fortress across the valley. It is only a short walk from the car park with some steep steps. Keep the camera handy and try zooming in in the fortress if you can.

The park is free and open to the public. Inside the park, there's an interesting and amazingly intact historical crusader fortress, although the fortress is not a major Israeli archaeological attraction, it's still worth seeing specially because of the stunning views it offers. There's several paths you can choose. The easiest one is about 1.5 hours and goes down to... More

Off the beaten path and not a place many tourists get to. The park is beautiful as are many parks in Israel. The view of the castle is spectacular. We did not end up walking to the castle because it was just too much for us in the heat. As others have mentioned it is not really a moderate hike.
