It is one of many beautiful desert areas in southern Israel but the difference that it is not only for keen trekkers - you can reach all interesting points by car and have short walks to more "wide" parts. If you prefer hiking for real you can choose one of the shorter or longer trails. No matter which way of... More

Went and enjoyed it. The movie was a bit cheesy although worth learning about it. We did the pillars and the mushrooms. Worth walking up the stairs at the Solomon Pillars!

Timna was amazing, the hike was very short, yet had a lot to it, and the historical importance was interesting to say the least.

It is a fine trip to the desert, getting to know Timna from the past perspective and from the present one. A part of it is done with your car, so if you don't have one you cannot get the whole thing. It is to be said, that there is nothing special in this place when you compare it to... More

Great nature park with lots of hiking trails of different difficulties and a few mountain biking trails. Be careful if you decide to go on the red mountain bike trail - it's pretty technical.

If you are driving to or from Eilat it's well worth taking a diversion into Timna park to see the remarkable geological features near the ancient copper mines - especially "Solomon's Pillars".

this is one site I had never visited before- it was spectacular in the afternoon and early evening with the rich colors of sunset. We had a guide take is in in a 4 wheel vehicle which was well worth it. Not sure our rental would have been happy on the unpaved portions of the roads. I would have wished... More

The best way to visit this fantastic place is by car. The entrance is valid for 3 days and you pay pr person. We chose a clouded day to visit the Park and there are pros and cons for this choise. Cons, the Park is so amazing in the clear sun but the Pros were the moderate temp - this... More

Timna Park is not really a park but a part of the desert with the most spectacular rock formations like mushrooms, King Salomon' s Pillars and copper mines. The rock carving of the Saluki with the Ibex goats is superb. A very interesting place should not be missed.
