Then found out it was cotton. hard to tell unless you are an expert. All the carpets are very beautiful and hand knotted. they have the... More

We had an unexpected stop at Lily's carpet shop. She has very beautiful items and her English is impeccable! My sister and I were invited to have apple tea (yum!) and talk with Lily. I bought a beautiful tapestry pillow cover that perfectly matched my bedspread at home.

We spent some days in Selcuk and we met this nice carpets and textiles shop. We spent a lot of time just talking with the owner of the shop who offer us apple tea, told us a bit of turkish history and played for us a typical turkish instrument. Very kind. He wasn't at all harassing, so we decided to... More

A wonderful experience, so much more than just a carpet shop. Lily and her brother were two of the most welcoming people we met on our travels in Turkey, and all of us left very happy with our purchases. Well worth a visit to Lily's Carpets.

Lily and her brother Ibrahim were two of the most welcoming and hospitable Turks I met on my travels throughout Turkey. Together they sell beautiful carpets and fabrics both in Turkey and abroad. More than happy to simply meet you, hear your story, and display their craftsmanship. An unforgettable experience!
