What can I say, a once in a lifetime visit to the House of Mary! We felt the holiness of the house, drank from the natural spring, left a prayer. Amazing, should not miss!

Apparently this little quaint house is where Mother Mary lived after leaving Jerusalem. It had been visited by 3 Popes. As it is considered an important site by Turkish government as there is a guard house watching over the house. Well worth a visit esp...More

The only thing is the house itself which is rather small and no phototaking is allowed there. We visited as it was part of our tour. Unless you are Catholic, this is not a vital place to visit in Ephesus.

It was beautiful place on the mount. I saw such this places in my country, and I understand that these kind of people who are a little different in behavior or life-stile should be far from others to have safe life.

Magical to visit the site where the Virgin Mary may well have spent her final days under Apostle John’s care. Simple - yet serene. A must for any devout Catholic for sure!

We loved the place as it`s calm and my partner enjoyed worship. We got 2 candles each, after returning back it`s a good gift for Mom. We decided to return back one day with full family.

There is a functional Christian church so I believe a church wedding could be possible. But a wedding ceremony may be rejected. The reason for a rejection of this request would probably be that too many couples would... More
