Kind of neat to see a place Mary may have lived.

We stopped in here on the trip to see Ephesus. It's only 5 minutes up the hill by taxi from the Ephesus ruins. You pay a small fee I think it was 4 euro's PP. There is a gift... read more

Religiously more significant the Vatican in my opinion. There is a reverence here that I have never felt before. Not to be missed.

Christian pilgrimage site that might have lived her last days. Totally reconstructed with only speculation that the site is real.

We are so blessed to have visited the sacred house of the Holy Virgin Mary. Our 82 years old mother was with us. A mass service was conducted in one of their chapel just for our tour group. The place is so solemn it gave us goosebumps. This place is a must visit if you are in Ephesus, Turkey. Take... More

We stopped in here on the trip to see Ephesus. It's only 5 minutes up the hill by taxi from the Ephesus ruins. You pay a small fee I think it was 4 euro's PP. There is a gift shop there and even with a load of busses people move through fairly quickly. The house is a small chapel where... More

Christians believe that the house of St. Mary is one of the places for pilgrimage and they need to come here for once in lifetime. The House is situated on the top of the mountain Bülbül. It is said that St. Mary lived for a while with St. Jean there and died. It is also visited by Muslims and people... More

This is another must see place! This is the location where John brought the Virgin Mary due to violence and danger in Jerusalem. As I understand it, the building we entered was not actually her house, but was a chapel built on the foundation of her house. Outside was an olive tree that was there when she was. There is... It is a great time to visit and pray in front of St. Mary... Not only for christians but also for Islamic people, it is very important to visit and showing respect to The Virgin Mary, and praying to God wishing all our wishes comes true... I felt it myself and advising every body who can visit here.

Hey therw. If you are a Christian fellow i want you to know that there are no other christian relics, monuments and stuff in any soil of the world but in Turkey. Mostly there are so many early christian monuments in Turkey than any other country. Enjoy your time in Ephesus where the first 10 christian Coumcils were held an... More

according to legend, this home was where the Apostle John took Mary to be safe after Jesus's crucifixion. The quaintness and rustic area is very striking. They had a mass in the chapel there for us and it was very meaningful.
