This fine example of Seljukian architecture was purposely built with an asymmetrical style along with several Ottoman style elements, which are revealed in the turquoise and blue faience mosaics.

Both of us never visited a mosque before - we absolutely enjoyed it. It was really impressive, the mosque is beautiful. Make sure you also go for a walk around it :) If possible, try to avoid to get there just after lunch time, especially...More

If you dont like history maybe you wouldnt interest in this mosque. The building was not so big, the dome was standard, but there was a lovely park in front of the mosque. One minaret is already gone. Nothing special beside the history. Not a...More

This place was nice to see and I enjoyed the solitude. No one else was there so I took time to meditate and pray (as a Christian) and enjoyed the courtyard area.

A beautiful old mosque, built in the 14th century, in the beautiful town of Selcuk. The garden is really wonderful. If you want you can also visit the mosque to pray.

The Mosque was down the road from our hotel, so again we were able to explore at our leisure. It is a beautiful tranquil oasis. We were also taken there on our guided tour but could spend time just sitting and absorbing the tranquility.

Turkey is filled with camii (mosques), but this one was the most special one of all. Walking in you immediately get a sense of what it must have been like back in the day, when mosques were the centre of the community. I could sit...More

Definitely worth seeing, especially as it is a few steps away from St John's Basilica. Beautiful and intimate. Also has interesting small shops outside.

Really enjoyed visiting and praying in the ancient Mosque. Kids played and rested in the courtyard. A peaceful place for friday prayers. Lovely simple architecture but so tastefully done. Really enjoyed visiting.

Well I've seen many mosques in my lifetime, and this one is a very old, but well preserved one. It can't be compared to the later huge buildings as in Esfahan, but it has an architectural beauty of its own, and it is one of...More
