Old cobbled street with new brightly coloured houses in the old design. Istanbul has more to see but this is a handy cut through from Topkapi palace. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.

Little houses next to the palace. Artists used to come paint these, and the prime minister was born on this street. A nice walk.

I don't agree with the name Souk. This is a cobble stone street that leaves Topkapi Palace and goes down to Gulhane Park. It has a very old restaurant on it and they have built new housing to replace the original housing against the palace...More

This is a single street right before the Topkapi Palace museum. Today (Janury 31, 2016) it is under restoration. However, it is a beautiful street with traditional 19th century Ottoman wooden houses. It is a nice street to get a sense of Old Stambul.

This fairly short, cobbled pedestrian street runs between the Topkapi Palace walls and Hagia Sophia. One end shows off a row of colorful Ottoman-type wooden two- to three-story houses that went up to revitalize a derelict section in the mid-1980s. They made up a hotel,...More
