A great place to see the locals at ease and enjoying the outdoors. It was also nice and cool for those struggling with head-wear and/or long pants. Its worth stopping to read some of the english information tabs which have a little to say about...More

Lovely park to stroll around with some great views of the city. Be very wary of the dogs sleeping and/ or wandering around the Gulhane park sign near the entrance. I saw a tourist get his leg bitten and jeans torn by the dogs as...More

Well laid out park. No admission charge. Located pretty close to Topaki Palace and the Architecture museum which can be pretty busy. So a good place for a wander to escape the crowds for a while. Plenty park benches and a wee cafe to pop...More

Take a break from urban noise and go for a walk in this lovely park. Some landmarks, like the Goth Column, add to its charm. It used to be part of the outer gardens of Topkapi Palace. While there, do visit the Alay Kiosk, now...More

As we were looking for the entrance of Topkapi, we stumbled in Gulhane Park, beautiful garden... but because it was winter, leaves had fallen and they were starting to place protective netting on the flowerbeds... but the art installations and fountains around are beautiful.

The park is quietly Grand and the grounds of flower displays put our city/ local gardens to shame, I don’t think they have a budget to go by, in the right season you can see all the plants/flowers being planted. I think this garden leads...More

With so many unmissable attractions within a mere
stroll of each other – and all set around the site of

overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a
prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly
epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the
Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this
relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to

That's all probably a matter of taste but at that time of year and a few weeks before, there are beautiful flower displays everywhere, from the exit of the airport. Very pretty.
