I stopped by this cute shop with a friend on our way to a restaurant, near the end of our Istanbul trip. After a few days in Istanbul exploring the Grand Bazaar and side streets around the city, we'd seen it all: aggressive shopkeepers, exorbitant pricing, shoddy goods. But Aslan was nothing like most of the other shops here-- an... More

I live in Istanbul for 5 years but I do not go into gift shops because most of them are tourist trap. However, I go into this shop by chance and this place is definitely not a tourist trap. Everyone can find many gifts suitable for their budget. The prices start from 1 TL! The owner was also so friendly... More

This is a great place to get gifts - 1 -8 lire for small trinkets and purses. You get great buys. There are 2 shops. It is located next to the Hodjapasha Dance Show. Highly recommended show with no intermission lasting 70- minutes

We found this gift shop by the restaurant we visited, they had 2 shops, one around the corner, it was well stocked and not overpriced compared to some places we went, they packed our purchase with great care and it made it back to the UK in one piece! exceptional stock and service.

We stumbled upon this gift shop on our way to a restaurant. It's slightly tucked away in a corner but to our surprise the shop has everything under one roof from a few lamps to scarfs. The prices were reasonable too and I didn't feel as if we were being robbed by sometimes given ridiculous prices on some items in... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
