Do you like Medieval Times restaurant in the US? Then you might like the dervish show at hodjapasha. When I decided to come to Turkey, I wanted to do three things: to see the Hagia Sophia, to see the Blue Mosque, and to see Whirling...More

It's a bit of a conflicting experience. On one hand this is a religious ceremony not a show. On the other hand it's a bit hard to believe that 5 men on a stage surrounded by hundreds sitting tourists are actually into it truly and...More

Honestly I was very excited coming to this show and it was all ruined. First of all the chairs weren't comfortable at all. The musicians wore normal clothes under their robes which ruined the experience. If there was a theater in istanbul that mixed the...More

I've been here twice now for two different shows and both were excellent. The setting is intimate and so you feel like you have front row seats from anywhere in the room! The performances are highly professional and the venue is beautiful.

We visited Hodjapasha Cultural Center in December 2016 to watch the Rhythm of the Dance performance. The performance mixes traditional cultural dances from around the different cities in Turkey. On top of this, the center promotes Rumi teachings and displays boards about the life of...More

The ambiance and venue were nice. I was really looking forward to the dervish show. However, without knowing it was a religious ceremony, it was really boring and I (and many others) started falling asleep. During the show, we're not allowed to speak, walk or...More

With so many unmissable attractions within a mere
stroll of each other – and all set around the site of
an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an
overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a
prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly
epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the
Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this
relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to
