About
Get one of Istanbul’s best views of the Golden Horn up on this hilltop. Named after the French writer Pierre Loti, this hill boasts a sweeping observation deck and a café overlooking the riverfront which serves snacks and Turkish coffee. Make a wish at the wishing well Dilek Kuyusu, and take a tour of the Eyüp Cemetery, where Ottoman-era sultans and writers like Mehmed Celebi and Mahmud Aga are buried. If you’re not up for a hike, you can take a taxi up to the Pierre Loti Tepesi or hop on a cable car for a smooth journey. – Tripadvisor

    Deathfully wonderful
Pierre Loti to me is a beautiful memory. I had taken some family members there. We had so much fun climbing, having coffee in the hills and just admiring the view. If graveyards had to be awarded for aesthetics, this should receive the award. Its a wonderful way to spend the afternoon with a bunch of fun people. Spectacular view. Lovely atmosphere

    Stunning vista
Amazing views over the Golden Horn. Food is outdoor street cafe bites, these are OK but you go here for the incredible views. It's very busy and you have to wait tables, especially at the front with the best views. Get a taxi there, costs around TRY 100. The tram line link is only partially complete as of June 2023 and the shuttle bus service that completes the journey runs too infrequently to be recommended.

    Beautiful views
We took a taxi to this area. Its located atop a hill. We enjoyed the views. There is a graveyard around this area. There is also a cafe. We took the stairs down qnd used the metro pass to take the cable car downhill. It was a fun time. Once you reach down you have to find a mode of transport. It took us time to find a taxi.

Lovely views and a nice walk
This was a lovely place to take in the views of the old city. Being outside the walls we were able to see part of them and a city gate as well as the famous skyline. To reach the viewing area you can either take the cable car (long wait) or walk up the pathway through the graveyard of Eyup Mosque. That took as about 10 minutes and was a pleasant and shaded walk. The cafe at the top is very popular although we just had a drink so I'm not sure what the food is like there.

    Cafe with a view
Right beside the area of Eyup, this hill is easily accessible by a teleferic and is named after the French poet and commander Pierre Loti where he spent some years of his life in Istanbul and used to visit this area. The hill is ironically used as a graveyard, yet even the look of the graveyard is somehow nice while the view from above is breathtaking overlooking the golden horn and the old European part of the old city. There are many cafes and of course the most famous one is named after Loti as well. Unfortunately, like anywhere else in old Istanbul, the place is becoming very crowded

    Pleasant, relaxing, delicious
It was a pleasant visit; the teleferik was spotless and secure, and it took us a smooth two minutes to reach the pier loti hill. From there, we took many pictures of the breathtaking view. The coffee shops were packed, but we didn't get a chance to try them; they seemed warm and inviting, and the tea seemed to be delicious with the soothing view. Finally, we took a short stroll behind the coffee shops to discover some souvenir shops, and we were given the opportunity to sample some delicious hazelnut-flavored coffee. A visit is highly recommended. Overall, it takes one to one and a half hours, but it is not worth repeating.

It had a great view and I loved it. The only problem was you couldn't sit anywhere to enjoy the view, you had to sit in Cafe and order sth even if you didn't want to eat.

You go here for the truly stunning views of the Golden Horn and the city. We have something to eat while you are there, but the main attraction are the views.
