Enjoyed seeing the boats, water, fishermen and the cityscape at night...captured a crescent moon above a mosque. Sense of comraderie amongst the fishermen. Just lovely.

Interesting place to fi but he careful when You Enter in restaurants inferior the Bridgeport, nota all display prices including VAT. Try Fish sandwich - 12 TL (2.2$).

What to stay it is not just a bridge so many restaurants are hiding below it and near it you can take the bosphore tour.

Rode the tram over this bridge to Galata Tram stop from where we walked to Galata Tower. Beautiful views over the Marmara Sea.

Their are many places most of the restaurants I visited were alcohol free but you can check hotels near blue mosque. In old sultanahmet. I don’t have a specific name for a restaurant as I am not a big fan of seafood. But... More

If I understand correctly you are arriving at 9 pm with kids, my suggestion will be to find a nice restaurant with a Terrace to enjoy the night view of the city. At night time all the tourist sites are closed. I recommend... More

By 9 PM, Galata Bridge will still be lined with fishermen, although the area in general will be dead because the last ferries to and from the nearby Eminonu have already passed. If you could go to only one spot in Istanbul... More
