A very nice courtyard but you get better served in any turkish kebab in Luxembourg. Stroll by. Don't eat.

While the place is quite elegant & has a great vibe, the service is quite terrible & most importantly, the food is quite cold & average. All they could offer a vegetarian is a pre made cold mezze, which wasn't really good.

I have always time to have my lunch or dinner in this historic food court with kind of great ornament and also the best of hospitality by very entertained butlers.

We wandered in uncertain as to what lay beyond the entrance but intrigued by the architecture....we were immediately waylaid by a barman and gratefully took a seat in the small bar. At this point we had been walking for some time and had been on the lookout for an appealing bar - for some reason the bars are tucked away... More

Cicek pasaji is on Istiklal Street in Beyoglu district of Istanbul. It is an open air area/street full of little eateries. You can walk down Istiklal Street, pass by Galatasaray High School, very famous school in Turkey, and get to Cicek Pasaji. Good place to sample Turkish meze (like the Spanish tapas &/or appetizers). It is less crowded during the... More

A Beautiful old section of the Caddesi with a multitude of bars, cafes & restaurants nowadays. We stopped for the shade on a hot & sticky day but planned to return in the evening. Worth a look as you stroll the area.

Cicek Pasaji is a covered passage along Istiklal Caddesi. It was built in the mid 1850s as a flower market Today it is a quaint passage lined on both sides with small bars and restaurants. Nice place for dinner.

Right in the centre of Istıklal street, a covered passage with many historic cafes, winehouse's and restaurants. A very beautiful building that used to be a theatre. Worth visiting.

The European style facade of this passage is very pretty, so it is very photogenic and worth taking pictures here. There are some souvenir shops inside the passage, but I cannot recommend buying anything here, because there are other passage near here, some of them are very local style and more interesting.

The location is nice, and service attentive and helpful, but the food is very average. Vine leaves had no flavour and were probably made way ahead and taken straight from the fridge - hard, cold, flavourless. Shish kebab was ok, but it's not hard to cook a couple of bits of meat with a few chips on the side and... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
