This short bazaar street offers a wonderful selection of fish and eateries! You can feast your eyes and stomach quickly and for a nice price. Some are pushy, but just follow the locals for a good meal.

This little area is well worth the detour off the main promenade. There is an abundance of street food, packed restaurants and bars and a great atmosphere. Plenty of rooftops to perch yourself on... and there will be no shortage of offers....

Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal
Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night
and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights,

people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive
Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of
the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned
restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening
