Loved this place, an eclectic mix of architecture, religion, culture, tourism, peoples, sights and smells. Super interesting and just a lovely place to be. Could have stayed longer - must return !

We really enjoyed strolling around Sultanahmet and enjoying the sights, as well as enjoying lunch on one of the many restaurants nearby. A lovely way to spend a day in Istanbul!

Beautiful area, pleasant walk - day and night - with nice restaurants, a lot of activities and wonderful historic places. We hired a tourist guide who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and provided transportation to other locations.

We spent most time in Sultanahmet as all the significant sites, palaces were housed here. Restaurants galore. Brilliant transport system nearby. There's a park like atmosphere near the centre with many people/tourists mingling around taking pictures, requesting Cafes. Wonderful sense of history all around you...More

There are some drivers, but all depends on personal knowledge, try to check with someone who visited before and they will help in this regards
