Eyup is named by one of Prophet Mohammed followers Abu Eyup Al Ansari. The area is nice and quiet. Oto park is near the mosque. Many shops in the way to the mosque.

If you ferry up the Golden Horn, this is where you will end. Several small, but nice mosques in town, in addition to the major Eyup mosque. Also, hundreds of old, and not-so-old graves in the area. Interesting combination of Ottoman and modern Muslim gravestones....More
