A city to be seen and most importantly, to be explored. Very comfortable shoes are needed if you fancy exploring the back streets and hills. I recommend not having lots of cash, jewellry if it is dark.

I visited several small museums and galleries in the area. Many boutiques and of course the Galata Tower. Breakfast cafes are great although 'breakfast' service started around 10 am.

Very beautiful area with impressive buildings lining the seaside. The gardens are especially nice to walk through and take pictures in during the spring months

Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere
stroll of each other – and all set around the site of
an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an
overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a
prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly

Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this
relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to

There are trendy and relatively expensive nightclubs by Bosphorus. Trendy clubs/ bars in Kadıköy (Anatolian side) Trendy bars and cafes in Karaköy (close to Galata) and still some good places you can find in Taksim.
