It is very pleasant to get on a very old vehicle that remains from the past. the only negative point is that the ticket is some how expensive.

NO TRAM any more 😢. The old tramway is not any 1 of the most attractive parts of the shopping street. Even the old tramhous is exit. If it comes back? Yes one's when nobody knows.

Great classic ride in Beyoglu district. Really iconic and Istanbul-ish. Even better as it runs through Istiklal, a very long street, so not good to walk to and from whilst shopping and hopping into and out of shops along the long stretch. Better to take...More

Currently , its being out of use due to maintenance. its convenient for people who would like to pass all the istiklal street when they are tired of walking.

Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal
Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night
and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights,
shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of
people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive
Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of
the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned
restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening
