Hectic process in redeeming gift cards from HOF

Very poor service. Never buy a gift card from HOF and give as a gift. The IT department takes ages to verify the card and activate it. I have never experienced this kind of situation in any other store in colombo. Very poor customer service.

Very Poor customer service. On the other hand I would say no customer service at all. Today on the Father's day they have sent a SMS promotion for 15% Discount. But when we at cashier they said we need to bring the loyalty card to avail the discount. But normally everywhere with the mobile number they use to give us Discount. At least in the SMS they could have mentioned to bring the card. Finally we end up by purchasing Rs 26,000 without the Discount. Really disappointing and I would say kind of a tricky marketing.
You can't see smile on anyone of HOF staff. Very Disappointing and be very careful of your purchasing next time.

FAKE NORTHFACE PUFF JACKETS

I bought all my winter clothing before leaving SL from House Of Fashions.One of the products I bought was "NORTHFACE WINTER PUFF JACKET" (filled with feathers) suitable for heavy winters, as I was going to Germany. On the very first day after I wore it, I noticed some stitches are broken and feathers are coming out. Now it has become severe and more heathers are coming out and floating when travel. I made a complain to NORHTFACE team and after observing they told me "it was a fake product". It cost me 35,500LKR to buy this :). There were two types of NORTHFACE winter jackets there-Light and Heavy. I bought the Heavy one. I do not know whether the light one is genuine or not. I can not send this back since now I am abroad. But please keep in mind there are such FAKE products at such higher prices at "House Of Fashions". I do not want to see anyone else face the same issue after arriving abroad. Now I have to buy a new one.

Staff is so unprofessional. No proper traning. They are not helpful at all, arrogant and disrespectful for the customers.

Cloths are soo poor in quality.

Ignorence of the staff towards a Customer ............

ITEMS SOLD WHICH CANNOT BE USED (CLOTH RACK)
No idea........since the supposed to be Mangers just ignored my problem with a smile where I lost Rs.4,250/-
Instead of looking into my issue a very junior guy started complained against me. When I wanted to report it to a Manger there were two apparently just ignored me. M/w my receipt was misplaced the girl in the counter. Si I just left fuming since no point getting angrier as my wife explained.
I just thought of writing, to get over my anguish and disappointment but no remedy is required though Rs. 4,250/- wasted.

Went to the household section to buy bath mats. We wanted to buy three on one item different colors but apparently you can only by “two” bath mats as there import stock is less. This policy has not been mentioned anywhere in the shop. And it is a ridiculous policy. Disappointed with their service. So if you want to go there to buy some item which requires more than two pieces it is best not to waste your time to go to HoF.

Unethical Behaviour Towards Indians

During a recent trip to Sri Lanka, my family and I experienced a disturbing incident at the House of Fashion shopping mall in Colombo. While waiting in line at the billing counter, another customer cut in front of us, causing confusion and frustration.

When we complained to the cashier, the individual became angry and shouted at us. Instead of addressing the issue, the senior management of the mall joined in, shouting and telling us to leave. They even called in additional staff and locals to threaten and physically assault us.

The situation escalated to the point where we were pushed and kicked out of the store. This kind of unacceptable behaviour towards customers is surprising, especially considering our previous positive experiences in Sri Lanka and the friendly nature of its people.

It is especially concerning to see such aggression and disrespect from a business, especially given the current economic challenges and high rates of inflation in the country. The incident not only caused us distress, but also resulted in a significant loss of sales for the mall.
